The Flip My Life storefront at flipmylifenow.com (Shopify Plus, a Dawn 13.0.1 fork): the product pages,
the bundle picker and the add-ons a shopper sees before checkout. This document is the round-by-round
change log of what shipped and why. It is rendered at docs.appolis.app/flip-storefront/breakdown and
edited in the theme repository (flip-my-life-theme/FLIP-STOREFRONT-BREAKDOWN.md). The session that
ships a storefront change prepends its entry here, newest on top, in the same commit. The member
portal has its own document: FLIP-HQ-BREAKDOWN.md.
Status on 2026-10-27. The FLIP 7 supplement chart is live on both FLIP 7 pages since 2026-10-27 05:00 UTC (round 2 of the design, form note_7587), and both FLIP 7 product pages open on the package + highlights picture since 13:40 UTC (todo_7586). LIVE theme "Appolis Lane old style" (Shopify theme 182535749933) carries the
FLIP 8 add-on on both FLIP 7 product pages since 2026-10-21 20:16 UTC. The Retro Pop redesign is a preview
only (theme 182110716205). Two Intelligems A/B tests run on the FLIP 7 pages (32e9c0f3 and e66bfb94).
| date | what | for shoppers |
|---|---|---|
| 2026-10-27 | FLIP 7 page: opens on the "Supershake for Whole Body Wellness" picture | On the FLIP 7 product page, the first picture is now the bag with its highlights (20g protein, 175 calories, 7 blends, 25 vitamins and minerals); the color-changing bag animation moves to second. Everywhere else is unchanged: the homepage card still shows the animation and Shop All still shows each flavor on its own. Picking a flavor still jumps to that flavor bag. |
| 2026-10-27 | FLIP 7 page: the supplement comparison chart | Right above the "champions who stand behind every scoop" strip, both FLIP 7 pages now show the chart from the new design: which of the seven blends a protein powder, a multivitamin, a probiotic or a greens powder covers, and that FLIP 7 covers all of them — "2 Scoops. 7 Blends. 1 Daily Habit." It is real text, not a picture: it resizes to any phone or screen, can be selected and read aloud, and every word and checkmark can be changed in the theme editor without a designer. Reviewed by Tyler on a preview copy before it went live. A second round tightened the space above and below the chart and sized the phone title like the design. |
| 2026-10-23 | In The News: biggest outlets first, products mixed | The news page now shows all 16 posts on one page, the biggest outlets first (Yahoo, MSN, BuzzFeed), then the trade press and awards, then smaller outlets, then our own press releases. Two posts about the same product never sit side by side, so the collagen and STIX stories are spread out. A new post finds its place by itself once it has one tier label and one product label in Shopify admin. |
| 2026-10-22 | In The News: one look for all 16 posts | The six older news posts (Neal on Yahoo Finance, the FLIP 8 launch, the two STIX awards, Tunnel to Towers, the STIX + FLIP 6 launch) now open with the same wide banner as the new press posts — the outlet's logo beside one of our product photos — and read the same way: a short summary up top, the story, one "Read the full article" link, and the About Flip My Life box. All 16 banners now meet the photo with a clean straight edge instead of a soft fade. |
| 2026-10-22 | Three past webinars on the Events page | The Events page now opens with Scott St. John's interview and Laura St. John's two mindset workshops (September and June), each with a picture, a short description and a Watch Now button, above Neal McDonough's. The pictures alternate sides as you scroll. Reviewed by Tyler over four rounds on a preview copy before it went live. |
| 2026-10-21 | FLIP 8 add-on is live | Shoppers on both FLIP 7 pages can add the FLIP 8 jar to their order in one tap for $41.99, and the price on the button already includes it. Reviewed by Tyler over eleven rounds on a preview copy of the site before it went live; the two running A/B tests were left running. |
2026-10-27 (13:40Z) — FLIP 7 PDP: the gallery opens on media 2 (package + highlights), product page only. Tyler, form note_7581 Q3 / todo_7586. snippets/product-media-gallery-new.liquid (rendered only by sections/main-product-new.liquid) builds gallery_media = media 2, media 1, media 3… for the two FLIP 7 products — flip-7 (10195384795437, the page the homepage and Shop All link to) and its A/B twin flip-7-supershake (10354223481133) — and both the slide loop and the thumbnail loop read it, so assets/custom.js (flavor click → slide by thumbnail index) still lands on the right flavor. The products themselves are not reordered: media 1 (Flip_7_vari.gif) stays the featured image, so cards, the homepage and Shop All are untouched. Correction to todo_7586: the two handles are two products, not one. Pushed straight to LIVE on Tyler's go (no preview round, 2026-10-27); live copy matched HEAD before the push, pull-back matched after. Served check: /products/flip-7 (control group forced with ?igTg=) at phone width, /products/flip-7-supershake at phone + desktop, flavor click → vanilla bag, homepage card still the GIF bag, Shop All still per-flavor, no Liquid error. Rollback: push the HEAD~ copy of the snippet.
2026-10-27 (05:00Z) — FLIP 7 PDP: the "How many daily supplements could FLIP 7 replace?" chart, before the champions section. Tyler's form note_7022 (the agency's desktop + mobile designs, 10-27). New section sections/flip7-supp-chart.liquid — a real HTML table (selectable text; caption, row/column headers and "Included"/"Not included" for screen readers), fluid sizes, the column names turning vertical under 750 px, every style scoped to the section; the eight row photos in one sprite assets/flip7-supp-icons.webp cut from the agency's desktop file; the checks and the circled x drawn as inline SVG. Heading, sub, pill, colors, columns, rows and every cell are editable in the theme editor (5 Column + 8 Row blocks; defaults = the design). Added to both FLIP 7 templates (product.variants.json, product.bundle-widget.json, pulled fresh from LIVE and spliced immediately before variation_people_N3cpFe). Previewed on theme #188982690093 (served probe at 390/768/1024/1280 on both pages: section present right before the champions, no horizontal scroll, Arboria loaded, 14 checks / 26 x), reviewed by Tyler on the markup hub, then pushed to LIVE #182535749933 with --theme --allow-live --nodelete --only from the payload (LF bytes), section and sprite first, templates second, after a fresh live pull showed no drift; verified by pull-back (VERIFY 4/4 SAME) and the served probe on the real URLs. Round 2 (Tyler's note_7581, commit 19887ac): the section padding halved (72 → 36 px desktop, 22 px on phones) with tighter gaps between heading, sub, table and pill, and on phones the title sized like the agency's mobile file (7.8vw, capped at 46 px, three lines) with the subtitle on two lines (4.65vw, max 16em); shipped as previewed on Tyler's word on form note_7587 (2026-10-27 03:53Z). Rollback: push .blueprints/flip7-supp-chart-20261026/tmp/live-before/templates/*.json back. Plan, check and renders: .blueprints/flip7-supp-chart-20261026 (check/chart.check.mjs 12/12).
2026-10-23 (03:26Z) — In The News ordered by outlet tier, no two same-product posts side by side. Tyler's forms note_6927 (Q3), note_6933 and note_7003. Shopify has no blog sort, so the order lives in tags: each of the 16 posts carries one tier-1 … tier-4 tag (1 = the biggest outlets) and one product-<name> tag (product-collagen, product-flip-6, product-flip-7, product-flip-8, product-stix, product-brand — the product its banner shows). The new section sections/main-blog-tiered.liquid, used only by templates/blog.in-the-news.json (the other blogs keep main-blog), shows every post on one page (paginate by 50), lowest tier first; inside a tier the next card is the post whose product differs from the card before it and has the most posts left in that tier (tie = newest); if none differs, the first differing post from the next tier moves up; a post with no product tag never counts as a repeat; untagged posts come last. Live order: Yahoo Creators · BuzzFeed · MSN · Tunnel to Towers · Neal | Beauty Packaging · Mom's Choice · PR Newswire · Parents' Picks | USA News · Medium McAvoy · Consumer Queen · Women's Insider · Medium Dutch | STIX + FLIP 6 launch · FLIP 8 launch. Tags written by articleUpdate (store content; Neal keeps "PR Newswire"). Previewed on theme #188982690093 (served probe: 16 cards, 0 adjacent repeats), then pushed to LIVE #182535749933 with --theme --allow-live --nodelete --only, section first, from the LF worktree .drift/news-tiered after a fresh live pull showed no drift; verified by pull-back (section SAME, template tiered), the served probe (same order as preview, 0 adjacent repeats, no pagination, no Liquid error) and a look in the browser. Rollback: push .blueprints/flip-news-apply-20261022/tmp/r14/live-before/templates/blog.in-the-news.json back (type main-blog); the tags are harmless to the old section. A new post: give it one tier tag and one product tag.
2026-10-22 (20:33Z) — In The News: the six older posts restyled, every banner hard-edged (store content, no theme file). Tyler's form note_6927 (Q1, Q2). The six older posts on blog "In The News" (articles 683105583405 · 683108532525 · 683108630829 · 683124916525 · 683189862701 · 683618205997) get a new 2400×1000 banner each (outlet logo or "Press Release" + date, beside a lifestyle photo with the product), the template suffix article, and a restructured body: blockquote summary first, the story word for word, one "Read the full article on <Outlet> →" link only where an outlet ran it, the standard About block last, tracking links and broken image tags removed. Publish dates, handles, titles and authors unchanged. The ten press posts published earlier today get their banners re-rendered without the soft photo fade (creative director's note, form note_6915) as new Files press-NN-<slug>-r3.webp; the earlier files are kept, unreferenced. Store Files: news-restyle-0N-<slug>.webp (MediaImage 46359790747949 … 46359790911789) and the ten -r3 files (46359790944557 … 46359791239469), all READY. Verified on the live site: 16 handles 200, each og:image = its new banner, all paragraphs of the six restyled bodies present, news.atom 16 entries (served.mjs 17/17). Rollback: .blueprints/flip-news-apply-20261022/tmp/before.json + before-news.atom. Banner machines: .blueprints/flip-news-restyle-20261022/banners and .blueprints/flip-press-events-20261022/banners. The outlet-tier order for the blog page followed on 2026-10-23 (entry above).
2026-10-22 — the Events page: three past webinars above Neal (rounds 1–4). /pages/events (template templates/page.events-new.json) gains three image-with-text sections right before Neal McDonough's, top-down Scott St. John → Laura St. John September ("Flip your mindset") → Laura St. John June ("Stop self sabotage") → Neal, the image side alternating into Neal's text-first layout, each with a heading, a blurb and a Watch Now button to its video; the live sections are untouched. Scott's image is his McCord List share (events-scott-mccord-2026.jpg). The two Laura cards are rebuilt from her flyers in the layout of the live "Stop fighting your body" card with no date, register or RSVP wording (they are past events): a hard-edged 405-px photo box framing her head to waist (round 3; the flyer lettering over her hair painted out by a per-pixel colour key), and the name pill plus three numbered takeaways spread evenly down the right column in larger type so the column has no dead space (round 4, Tyler's form note_6903; measured 133 / 144 px under the third takeaway against ~140 on the reference card). Store Files: events-laura-june-2026-r4.webp, events-laura-sept-2026-r4.webp (1100×1270, MediaImage 46358841098541 / 46358841131309; the round-2 and round-3 files are kept, unreferenced). Previewed on theme #188982690093 (served order probe, phone-width look), then pushed to LIVE #182535749933 with --theme --allow-live --nodelete --force --only templates/page.events-new.json from the payload (LF bytes) after a fresh live pull showed no drift; verified by a pull-back compare and the served order probe. Plan and renders: .blueprints/flip-press-events-20261022 (README §C, events/, check/check.mjs --job C 9/9, events/measure-r4.mjs 2/2). The same day the ten "In The News" press posts were published (store content, not theme files — see 📐 note_6889).
2026-10-21 (20:16Z) — FLIP 8 add-on on the FLIP 7 pages (snippet v13, rounds 8–11). The regular FLIP 7 page (/products/flip-7) now walks three steps — 1 Choose your flavors (the theme's flavor rows), 2 Choose your price (the Recharge choices), 3 the FLIP 8 add-on card: the jar, the title inside the card, the price and a one-time checkbox right of the jar, "Add to my order" — and its Add to cart total counts the add-on (one FLIP 8 adds $41.99). The bundle page (/products/flip-7-supershake) shows the same card under the bundle box; its Billed line and the "Prefer to buy once?" line each gain "Plus FLIP 8: $41.99, one time" while the box is ticked, and the checkout buttons add the FLIP 8 line (variant 67626200400173, SKU FLIP8ADDON, $41.99 one-time, no subscription plan — Tyler's 10-20 store change) next to the FLIP 7 lines — cart-verified on the preview for "Prefer to buy once?" (5 one-time bags + FLIP 8 = $316.89); Start my FLIP (subscribe) and the regular page's Add to cart were not cart-tested in this ship. Files on LIVE #182535749933: snippets/f8-upsell.liquid (new, 25,074 B, md5 b575f723), assets/f8-upsell-jar.webp (new, 8,122 B, the clean jar), snippets/multiple-variants.liquid (the step-1 head), assets/component-multiple-variants.css (the step-head rules), assets/multiple-variants-block.js (the f8uTotal + f8u:change listener; the cart payload untouched), templates/product.variants.json (the step-2 head, one Custom liquid block {% render 'f8-upsell' %} before Buy buttons, on top of live's 10-15 theme-editor state), snippets/f7-bundle-picker.liquid (the Lander Builder lane's widget: the render hook inside div.oc-out, the Billed and once lines — carried by this lane with their FYI). Already equal on live, verified only: sections/variation_ingridients_slider.liquid, templates/product.bundle-widget.json. Previewed on theme #188982690093 (served drills at 390/768/1024/1280, the cart drill), then pushed one file at a time with --theme --allow-live --nodelete --only, checksum-verified by check/live.check.mjs --phase post (9/9). The Intelligems tests 32e9c0f3 (regular vs bundle page redirect) and e66bfb94 (bag photos vs flavor icons) kept running through the push (Tyler, form note_6563 Q4): both arms of 32e9c0f3 now carry the add-on, each on its own page. Rollback set: .blueprints/flip8-live-r4-20261021/tmp/live-before/. Repo: classic-account dc597e5 → 48e43db (fast-forward). Pushed from the worktree .drift/f8-install-r3 (LF bytes; the main tree checks out CRLF). Plan: .blueprints/flip8-live-r4-20261021.
